On Sunday October 26th I was contacted by a supporter for my election who told me that many of my signs in Kanab had been removed from various locations around Kanab on Saturday night. I drove the areas where my signs had been placed and found that indeed many had been illegally removed. I also noticed that many McCain Palin signs had been removed from locations where I had personally placed them. It is unfortunate when people in our community would choose to make a statement about their preference for a candidate by illegal actions of this nature. Our political process allows for voices from all sides to be heard. When individuals remove signs in an effort to supress information to the public, democracy suffers. I am offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person found to be removing campaign signs belonging to any candidate from either political party including my opponent.
